PISD has received a generous grant from the Share Winter Foundation to take students to Sipapu to learn to ski/snowboard. The program is free to all interested students. Each student will have the opportunity to attend the program 4 times this winter.
This past Thursday, PISD took its first group of students to Sipapu to learn to snowboard and ski. Fifty middle and high school students took an 1.5 lesson and practiced their skills on the mountain; one of their instructors was a 2024 PISD graduate and current UNM-Taos college student! Next week, we will bring elementary students in grades 3-5, and for each week afterward, MS/HS and elementary students will alternate. Please register your students at these links:
